Lil Wayne Cancels New York Show… Again

January 28, 2009

As the touring dynamo known as Lil Wayne continues on his North American I Am Music Tour, New York Lil Wayne ticket holders are getting antsy, wondering if Tha Carter is ever going to make it to the Big Apple.

Lil Wayne has canceled his planned New York City concert for a third time! The New York Lil Wayne concert was supposed to originally go down in October. Lil Wayne canceled the show at the last minute because he had complaints about the audio system at the venue, at the Rochester venue.

The show was rescheduled for December, but it was canceled again because Lil Wane and co. were preparing for their US I Am Music Tour.

The newest date, January 21, was once again canceled. Lil Wayne management said it was a logistical issue, as the entire tour would not be able to travel from Canada, where the current tour stop was, all the way to Rochester. Lil Wayne did not want to give the Rochester audience a watered down version of the show.

Lil Wayne manager, Cortes Bryant, told AllHipHop: “Now that Wayne’s doing these bigger shows, he wants to make sure that all of his fans are getting the same experience. It would have been too difficult to travel with the entire band, then turn around and head to Calgary the next day. We didn’t want the Rochester fans to get any less of a show because of logistics. We wanted to deliver the same caliber show we’ve delivered along the tour.”

He also promised Lil Wayne will eventually perform in March. The star is currently finishing up the announced dates of the I Am Music tour, however insiders believe he will extend the tour through March.

Stay tuned for Lil Wayne tickets for all the latest Lil Wayne concert and tour goings on.
